Shaadi Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at shaadistudio.co and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Shaadi Studio you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google). If you provide a phone number we store that as well.

Wedding Planning Data

To power your planning tools we store information you enter, including:

• Wedding details (date, venue, cultural preferences)
• Guest lists and RSVP responses
• Budget categories and whether items are paid
• Checklist progress
• Cash gift (salami) records

Google Contacts Data

If you choose to import guests from Google Contacts, we request the contacts.readonly OAuth scope. This grants us read-only access to your Google Contacts. We use this data solely to let you select contacts to add to your guest list. We do not modify, delete, or write to your Google Contacts, and we do not share your contacts with any third party. We read your contacts once, at the moment you import, using a short-lived authorization, and we do not store any Google account tokens or access your contacts in the background. Only the families you explicitly select are saved, as guest records; contacts you do not import are not stored on our servers.

Automatically Collected Information

We collect basic analytics such as page views, browser type, and device information to improve the service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve Shaadi Studio's planning features
• Authenticate your identity via Google OAuth
• Send transactional emails (e.g., RSVP confirmations)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a Neon Postgres database. The application is hosted on Vercel. Both providers maintain industry-standard security certifications. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, though no system can guarantee absolute security.

Cookies & Local Storage

Shaadi Studio uses minimal client-side storage:

• JWT authentication token— stored in localStorage to keep you signed in.
• Theme preference— stored in localStorage so your light/dark mode choice persists.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth— for authentication and optional Contacts import.
• Vercel— application hosting and edge delivery.
• Neon— managed Postgres database.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

Your Rights

You may, at any time:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Export your wedding planning data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Review Google Contacts access through your Google Account permissions page at any time. Because each import uses a one-time authorization and we keep no standing access, there is no ongoing grant for us to retain.

Children’s Privacy

Shaadi Studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or through the app. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the latest revision.
